A board-certified interventional radiologist, Dr. Gilvydis has spent his career treating vein diseases and disorders using image guidance and the most advanced, minimally invasive techniques . He is one of the first specialists in the nation to treat venous disease endovenously (from inside the vein) and today has more than a decade of experience and over 15,000 laser vein ablation procedures to his credit.

In addition to being board-certified in diagnostic radiology, neuroradiology and interventional radiology, Dr. Gilvydis is one of the nation’s first specialists to become a diplomate of the American Board of Venous and Lymphatic Medicine (formerly American Board of Phlebology). He is also one of fewer than 600 physicians in the US certified by the American College of Phlebologists to treat varicose veins.
