No more painful vein stripping. Vein care is significantly different than it used to be. And by that, we mean that it’s faster, easier, minimally invasive and can be done in-office . . . all with little to no discomfort or downtime.
It’s time to relax and have peace of mind.
At Gilvydis Vein Clinic, there are really only two things we want you to keep in mind:
What should I wear and be prepared for?
For your first appointment, wear comfortable clothes. Also, be ready to tell us your history of vein-related symptoms and the details of your medical history including:
What medications do you take?
What prior medical procedures have you had?
What diagnoses have you had?
Did your parents have varicose veins?
You can get the jump start on your first visit by downloading the new patient form and other related forms and policies here.
What should I bring with me?
Bring your ID and insurance card. Also, please be sure to bring a list of your diagnoses and the medications you take. If you have had prior vein treatment please bring with you any records from that procedure. Plan to arrive about 15 minutes early to fill out your paperwork. Save time by completing your paperwork in advance and bringing it with you to your first visit.
What should I expect during my exam?
If you need tests, they’re painless and noninvasive. When you come for your appointment you may at some point be examined using ultrasound, a painless and noninvasive procedure that uses sound waves to create an image. This is why we ask that you wear comfortable clothes.
Also, to ensure the most accurate diagnosis and care, all our ultrasounds are performed by accredited technologists and interpreted by Dr. Gilvydis or Physician Assistant Mark Whitney.
